About your job

In this position, you contribute to driving the next level of market intelligence and working on key strategic initiatives towards 2030 and beyond. The strategy and market intelligence team is working together with top management on the most important topic across the Business Area (BA).

You’re instrumental in driving market intelligence for the entire BA to ensure that the organization can drive fact-based business decisions based on the latest industry insight. Taking responsibility to drive our market intelligence to the next level, you continuously assess the market outlook, competitive landscape, and customer realities. The insights are keys for important top management decisions and governance, to drive strategic projects and to ensure the organization is up to date on the latest industry situation. In addition, you lead the work with your counterparts across the Sales Areas and Divisions.

You also lead strategic projects based on the business priorities up to 2030. The strategy and market intelligence team work on a broad set of scope ranging from setting the overarching BA strategy to driving cross-functional initiatives across the organization. The projects cover several different topics depending on the need of the organization; some examples include sustainability, technology shift towards automation, digitalization and electrification, M&A, growth strategies and portfolio and production strategy.

The location for this position is flexible worldwide near one of our bases. Some high potential locations are Stockholm/Sweden (HQ), Tampere/Finland, Turku/Finland, Amsterdam/Netherlands. Some international travel is a natural part of your job.

About you

We believe that you’re a highly structured, analytical person with a high degree of interpersonal skills to influence and lead high profile strategy work. To succeed in this position, you need a proven track record of managing complex projects and driving change initiatives in a global and cross-functional environment. We think that your experience is backed by a MSc in Business Management, Finance or Engineering. You have experience from a similar role in a multinational industrial company, from top-tier management consulting firms. Previous experience from mining is beneficial. We operate worldwide, and you must be both aware and open-minded towards the cultural differences you encounter. This also means that you need great communication skills, and you’re fluent in English.

You’re curious, socially skilled, and flexible – quite a master of interactions and stakeholder management – and you combine this with excellent analytical abilities and a passion for conceptualizing findings. You’re known for balancing independence with teamwork, and as a true doer, you prioritize tasks and follow up on our work, making sure we reach timely results with high quality. You have a confident and engaging approach, and you embrace feedback, new perspectives, and sharing knowledge with others.
